Act One - Late July

25th Anniversary dinner at Gaby & Jeremy’s. We learn that Ben & Sarah are contemplating divorce,Jeremy is terminally ill with Lou Gehrig’s disease, and asks his beloved Gaby to assist in his suicide,Beth & Thomas are planning to marry on New Year’s Day, and Zoe, unknown to Louis, is pregnant and planning an abortion.

Act Two - Five months later, New Year's Eve

Ben & Sarah have reconciled and plan to re-affirm their marriage vows, Gaby has agreed to help Jeremy end his painful life, Beth & Thomas are anticipating tomorrow’s nuptials, and Louis & Zoe (now in her 8th month), are choosing a name for their baby.
