LOVE SONGS to SHAKESPEARE is a University of Michigan student project combining selections from Steven Cagan's LOVE SONGS with some of Shakespeare's most poetic passionate, love scenes enhanced by modern visual technology and dance. This unique marriage of harmonious, 2016 melodies and lyrics with the expressive verse of our greatest playwright brings a new and refreshing fusion of musical-theatre and dramatic- theatre performance. The use of projections will be an intrinsic part of the complete work along with choreographed interludes and hip-hop parodies of Shakespeare's plays.
